Cakes Old Romantic is a perfect title for this throwback amen and 808 workout. This would have been right at home in a Bukem Progressions Sessions set circa 1998. It's got that perfect blend of energy, smoothness, uplifting pads, croony soul vocals, and low end weight. Highly recommended. A++ material! The ir-on-y is that Rob was actively trying to subvert this formula back in the late 90s as we see with Artforms! Favorite track: Old Romantic.
